About Arabella
The real challenge

The pressure is real. The silence is dangerous.

AI is changing what work looks like – fast. Boards want answers. Teams want reassurance. And you're expected to lead through a transition that no one has a playbook for, while still running the business.

Most consulting fails to address the actual problem: your leadership team isn't aligned, and everyone knows it except the people who need to.

  • You promoted your best operator into a leadership role – and now they're drowning in execution instead of driving strategy
  • Your senior team is saying the right things in the room and doing something different outside of it
  • The people beneath you are scared – and their fear is becoming your friction
  • You know something is off, but you can't pinpoint exactly where the breakdown is happening.
The engagement

Three phases. One clear outcome.

Lead the Shift is a structured consulting engagement for C-suite leaders and senior executive teams who want to move faster, communicate better, and build the kind of organisational momentum that lasts beyond the next quarter.

It's not coaching. It's not training. It's a structured diagnostic and realignment process that treats your people problems as the business problems they actually are.
Phase One

Diagnose

We go deep into your leadership structure. One-on-one conversations with your senior team to understand who's in what role, whether they have the capability and desire to do what's actually required, and where the friction is coming from. No assumptions. No sugarcoating.

  • Leadership structure assessment
  • Reassessing role structure
  • Clear picture of what's actually blocking momentum
Phase Two

Align

We bring the leadership team together for a facilitated half-day session. We look at how they're actually communicating – meetings, decisions, escalations – and we redesign those rhythms so the team moves as one unit rather than a collection of individuals protecting their patch.

  • Redesigned meeting and decision rhythms
  • Shared language for navigating change
  • A communication cascade that actually reaches the floor
Phase Three

Accelerate

This is where the shift becomes permanent. We build the specific capabilities your team needs to sustain the momentum – influence, strategic communication, leading through uncertainty. Quarterly check-ins ensure the gains compound rather than slide.

  • Targeted capability building for the leadership team
  • Individual coaching for key executives
  • Quarterly progress reviews
This is for you if

You're already good. You want to be unstoppable.

You're leading through major change

Whether it's AI adoption, restructuring or managing rapid growth, you're navigating a shift and you need your leadership team moving in the same direction, not just saying they are.

You've outgrown your current structure

Something in the org isn't working and you sense it's a people-in-role problem, not a strategy problem. You need someone who can walk in and tell you what you already suspect.

You want a strategic partner, not a vendor

You're looking for more than a workshop or a program. You want someone embedded enough in your reality to give you honest, direct advice — and a plan for how to execute it.
Equally important

This is not for everyone.

Lead the Shift only works when an organisation is ready to be honest about what's actually going on. The diagnostic phase surfaces things people have often known for a long time but haven't said out loud. That requires courage.

If you're looking for a quick fix, a morale boost, or a workshop that leaves everyone feeling good without changing anything – this isn't the right engagement.

Arabella Macpherson

Eighteen years. One obsession.

I've spent eighteen years working with C-suite leaders, senior executives and leadership teams across some of the world's most complex companies. My background is in communication: specifically, what happens when it breaks down and what's possible when it doesn't.

I'm not an organisational psychologist and I'm not an AI expert. What I am is exceptionally good at walking into a leadership team, asking the right questions, and knowing within minutes where the real friction is. That diagnostic instinct, combined with a structured approach to realignment and capability building, is what Lead the Shift is built on.

I work with a small number of organisations at any one time. That's deliberate. The work requires genuine partnership, not a calendar full of one-offs.

"The question isn't whether your people are capable. It's whether they're in the right role to show it."
